Preheat the oven to 385 degrees. In a small bowl add the salt, pepper, onion powder and garlic powder and mix well.

Make sure you have thoroughly washed and dried your ribs. Brush the ribs with the canola oil then generously season with your seasoning mixture.

Cover with aluminum foil then transfer to the preheated oven and cook for 3 1/2 hours.

After 3 1/2 hours remove the ribs from the oven then brush with the barbecue sauce.

Change the oven setting to broil then return the ribs to the oven and cook for 3 minutes.
